So worried that we would miss the sunset, we rushed off straight after dinner and made it to the lake in good time. Climbing over some rocks to our little spot, we bounced between taking pictures of the sunset, the scenes around us, and each other. The orange light of the setting sun and the chilly wind off the lake made for perfect pictures during the golden hour. After our frenzy of snapping photos, we decided to finally sit down and enjoy the monster cookies that we brought along while watching the last of the sunset. Obviously, Matt and I took food along. What's a trip to the waterfront without cookies, right? It was simple perfection all around, and I wouldn't have wanted it with anyone else. I plan on spending nights upon nights like this one with my best friend this summer.
