scenes from the holiday

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas spent with family, friends, whoever! The few days after Christmas really are the worst though, aren't they? Considering Christmas is such a joyous, special, and beautiful holiday, it's kind of hard to move on from it. I'm still just kind of blissfully pretending that Christmas is right around the corner and that we can relive it again in a few days.

This year has been an especially lovely and special holiday for me. Well, first off, I got engaged (still not used to it guys) so it was my first Christmas with my fiancé (still not used to that either). And this year was the first year that mine and Matt's families got together for Christmas which was so so special. It was amazing to see us all together and for me to not have to sacrifice time with either family for the holidays. There was tons of good food and fun going around all evening until we ended it on a high note with a chocolate fountain and ice cream cake. We don't mess around in either family, guys. After all the festivities I had time to reflect on the day and relax while Matt and I watched It's A Wonderful Life for my first time (except for the part where I fell asleep). So perfect!

And now... we wait a whole year until we do it all over again...

  5. love the photos... I agree, the first few days after Christmas are a big bummer. I try to save a few Christmas-y things to do the two days after so I can kinda stretch out Christmas a bit more :)
